What are you doing new year’s eve? | part one

So here we are, less than one week away from closing out 2012 and ringing in 2013!  It’s been quite a year all around, and for me personally it’s been a year of positive change and growth, something I have woken-up grateful for everyday and will work build on in 2013.   More on that later…

As we embark on this time of self-reflection from 2012 along with an opportunity to identify what we want to continue to build on or change for the year ahead we also make choices as to how we will welcome the beginning of a new year.

So with that,  what are you doing New Year’s Eve?

I have entertained for several years on this celebratory occasion and it is one of my favorite events of the year to host.  The glitter, champagne, celebration of your friends’ accomplishments collectively and toasting in a new year with your loved ones in your own home is what NYE is all about to me.   This year, I am still on the fence.  A big part of me would be happy with an intimate dinner in, which would be a switch for me. What I can tell you is that if I do host a soiree, I’ve identified several details to include in the mix.  So should you be planning to host/hostess NYE this year, here is some inspiration to add personalization, style and a great level of detail to your soiree.

New Year's Eve

1. CONFETTISYSTEM Crystal Pinata-Gold I would add champagne truffles to mine!! / 2. LOVE THESE ! Jouer Pop & Sparkle popper  3. Gold Star Edible Glitter to rim  your champagne glasses with! / 4.  Customizeable New Year Drink Stirrer Swizzle Stick Stir Stick /  5.  Perfect bar backdrop! ‘She Tosses Confetti at Midnight’ print by Amanda Catherine Designs on Etsy {she has other fabulous & fun prints available as well} / 6. Gold Cocktail Shaker 70% off right now!!

The Jouer Pop & Sparkle poppers are adorable and would be fun to hand out to guests at some point in the evening.

Each one comes with a party horn, mini champagne bubbles, a Jouer body butter, or lip balm sample, a chic cocktail ring and a beauty fortune.

In the end, whatever it is you plan on doing, I wish the best of luck planning it!
