two great new cookbooks

Happy Friday!

I hope you have some fun plans for the weekend!  One of my favorite types of books to buy is a cookbook.  Having recipes to peruse through when planning a special dinner or dinner party, and referring to them over and over again is a hobby of mine.  The style has to match my cooking style otherwise, I will never use them.  I tend to use that as my filter before buying them so I don’t end up with a kitchen full of books I don’t use.  There are two new cookbooks available for pre-order right now that I plan to add to my library.

For the lover of fashion,  Bergdorf Goodman is launching a book available March 24th for  fashionable a fêtes at home called the Bergdorf Goodman Cookbook.  It includes 100 recipes from their ever so elegant restaurant as well as contributions from fashion designers & editors alike.  From cocktails to hors d’oeuvres and entrees I can’t wait to test out some of these fashion industry favorites.

The second is from one of my favorite cooking blogs, My New Roots.  Sarah has written a beautiful book featuring her healthy plant-based recipes for each season.  This will be a staple in my kitchen as I refer to her blog so often when looking for recipes.  Her recipes are recipes I tend to go back to and make repeatedly because they are SO good – my favorites are this lentil salad, and this asparagus salad.

Isn’t the cover so beautiful?  The food from her recipes tastes as good it looks.  The book will be available March 31st and you can pre-order it here.

Cookbooks make such nice gifts for anyone who enjoys cooking or entertaining, it’s just a matter of making sure the cooking style of the author works with the recipients lifestyle and taste in the kitchen!

Wishing you a beautiful weekend,
