the statement necklace | for everyday

While I love jewelry as much as any other woman, I find that committing to a statement necklace is a difficult thing for me to do.  I had been searching a long time for the perfect statement necklace for myself, that I could rely on  to complete my look and bring everyday glamour into my wardrobe, not just something for a special occasion.  If you land on the right statement necklace, it will have a way to make you look polished in an array of outfits, and you’ll find yourself wearing it all the time.  A monochromatic piece for me is more versatile.  It keeps it simple, can be dressed up or down and will always make you look effortlessly pulled together.

Here are some that stand out to me:

This gold ball necklace is absolutely a statement.  A similar one worn with a dramatic outfit, you could easily pull this fabulous necklace off with jeans, a t-shirt and jacket if you wear gold for just the right amount of glamour. {image}

Pearls are classic.  You can always use them and therefore would be worth the investment.  I love the modern approach to these pearl clusters.  You could dress them up as seen here but again, jean’s and a great jacket with this necklace and your look is complete. {image via pintrest}

Ivory white is a beautiful neutral but if you don’t like pearls, you can still have it in other stunning formats.

I actually have this necklace below.  I searched for a while and tried many necklaces on for something I loved,  and I now wear it all the time.  It is a beautiful balance of modern and vintage in in terms of it’s look. My favorite way to style it is with a black peplum top and black skinny black pants {my go to client meeting outfit}, however, I love the look with jeans or a little pink dress as well.

While I would love to own this necklace by Oscar de la Renta {also above in white}, it is an investment.  I did try it on, and I love it, although it’s a bit too chunky for my frame.  I do think on someone taller it would be a stunner!!  Gorgeous dressed up, or again, a camel t-shirt and black skinny pants and you have an unbelievable daytime look. {image via pintrest}

This is a one of a kind necklace by Elva fields.  Black & gold with a bit of color, love the vintage cameo matchbox detail. This too, can easily be dressed up or down.

If you have a signature color that you like to have when you wear neutrals, a solid colored necklace in that color would make quite a statement.  I am obsessed with Thailand designer EK Thongprasert’s work.  He collaborated with Natasha Goldberg for some styles and this one below is GORGEOUS!!
