starting with basics

If you live in New England you are experiencing quite a snowstorm and overall blah weather these past few weeks. Grey cold days, that have us counting down the days minutes until spring arrives.  Despite the drab weather, this time of year is a really great time to take advantage of the end of winter sales and stock up on some nice quality basics.  I have always been a believer in having a good set of basics in my wardrobe and building my looks around them. Basics that are good quality, fit beautifully and look just as good plain as they do with the perfect accessories.  The challenge is, they are not as fun to buy as a perhaps a statement necklace or a clutch in a pop-color – not at all,  but they are SO worth the investment and I find myself wearing them all the time season after season as they quickly become my staples.

With retailers getting ready to convert entirely to spring merchandise, there are some really great deals out there right now.   For today I’ve put together some worthy finds in terms of basics that would compliment any wardrobe.
