Raise Your Glass!

When you serve champagne at night or durning the day, it has an elegance and celebratory feel like no other drink.  As I think about the upcoming Christmas holiday I am working on finding the perfect champagne cocktail to kick off our holiday festivities {once I land on what I’ve chosen, I will definitely share it with you}.  I definitely want champagne to be an element in the cocktail to signify a merry occasion!

Champagne can look so festive with its moving bubbles and the presentation of both champagne and champagne cocktails will take on a different look and feel depending on which glass you choose.

Technically, champagne glasses should have stems so the warmth from your hands doesn’t warm the glass {and in turn your champagne}, which would explain the traditional champagne flute style, but there are so many stunning designs to choose from.

Here are a few glasses that I think would compliment your celebratory champagne and champagne cocktails nicely.

1. Classic yet Dramatic: The edge flute from Crate and Barrel

2. Clean Lines:  Orrefors by Karl Lagerfeld {of course he’s designed a clean lined stunning glass}

3. Sophisticated:  Hand-blown LSA Champagne Saucers from Lekker Home

4. Fun & Festive {with mini glitter stars} – Brenda Estrellas Oro Christmas Champagne Flute from Zara Home

I am between numbers two and three in terms of my favorite.  Which would you want to raise your glass with?

    I like the nostalgic elegance of #3, especially if the stems are as long as they look in the picture. Timeless. Let me know if you need any help sampling champagne recipes ; ). Can’t wait to hear what you find.

      Robin, I’ve seen these glasses in person and there is something special about them. Really elegant and sophisticated. I love that they are hand-blown in Scandinavia as well. I may need some opinions on champagne cocktails so if you are willing to weigh in, I will be in touch, thank you!!
