This weekend was a weekend of being on-the-go in an effort to execute a client presentation at New York Fashion week. When you are setting up for an event you can’t exactly wear your best clothes as you are running around, moving furniture/boxes, picking up last minute props and needing to be ready for anything that may come up as you prepare to open the doors to attendees.
On Saturday I spent the day running around New York as well as working to make a space ready for a fashion presentation. I wore an all black look, and while the weather was warmer than it was yesterday and will be in the coming weeks, I really like this look below for a fall winter, on-the-go or in my case, event set-up chic look. I like all black when working as it can still be casual, and regardless of much I you may be doing, it is nice to look as polished as possible while doing it as well as to be able to go out for dinner at the end of the day looking chic.
1 | this Karl Lagerfield faux fur jacket is just a great piece to have for the cooler weather. You could wear this with any day or night look and be instantly glamorous.
2 | this Chanel lèvres scintillantes glossimer in sweet beige has a hint of shimmer and is a great gloss to finish a neutral look.
3 | to break up the black a bit, I like the idea of this Emerson Frye black fishnet sweater with a grey or beige tank top underneath.
4 | The idea of real leather pants during a big project set-up is not really a good one as they would be damaged by the end of the day. Zara’s skinny coated pants are a great alternative and have a flattering fit. I bought a similar pair last fall from Zara and wore them all the time. They are a great find.
5 | can’t go wrong with a black and gold bracelet. this marc by marc jacobs textured leather bracelet would go with a great deal of wardrobe looks beyond this one.
Wishing you a wonderful day,
