on my radar + of note

I am always looking to source great venues for events, whether it be for a wedding or a media launch, the perfect venue/setting is the foundation for a well-executed event.  Constantly being aware of what’s out there as an event planner, is incredibly important to me.  This way, when clients comes to you, you are can present venues that would make a great fit for the event they want to create.

The Surf Lodge in Montauk, NY has been on my radar to visit for a few years now, and last summer I pitched it to a client for a wedding because I believe the experience there for a wedding or event would be unique and an un-obvious one {assuming it’s your style}.

Super chill, boho-chic yet with a minimalistic design,  and an unassuming sophistication. This location encompasses everything from understated luxury to a chill beach setting, with some great outdoor space and a well designed restaurant,  located in the Hamptons but not in the heart of the hustle and bustle.  I am determined to get there this summer, and think it would be a stunning venue for an event with an understated chic vibe full of opportunity for customization.

The guest rooms are denoted by a large black number painted on the door further adding to the beach camp feel and the beds are wrapped in luxurious Frette sheets.

The hotel opens on May 15th for the season and is already accepting reservations.  Perhaps I will see you there this summer!?
