One of my favorite places to shop and peruse fashion is NET-A-PORTER. The site is well-curated, always evolving throughout the season and often I discover newer designers that I would not have discovered elsewhere in Boston. I also find a great deal of inspiration on the site the way they style pieces or enable you to shop by occasion.
Last week they launched NET-A-SPORTER! A game changer for shopping athletic wear in my opinion. It is again a well curated assortment of sport-style pieces for a variety of sports such as cross fit, yoga, tennis, ski, equestrian to name a few. You can see how they’ve organized by sport. I’ve observed that in the 1 week that they’ve launched it, they’ve added new pieces daily.
If they curate their sports assortment as well as they do their fashion assortment you can be absolutely assured that you will constantly find fresh, new and unique workout wear for the sport of your passion. During my downtime, I am often in yoga or running gear, so I like the idea of having this resource which is a bit out of the mainstream.
I could have put together a few different looks based on what they have since there are so many great pieces, but for purposes of this post, I chose to focus on one look. I fell in love with some yoga pieces by a brand which I learned of on the site called Weargrace. The brand was founded by the former Image Director for Gucci, and the collection is entirely made in Italy. Each piece is adorned with a Tibetan prayer flag detail which is a symbol of compassion. The look below was built around two Weargrace pieces.
1 | This silhouette is simple with a fabulous crossover neck
2 | Designed by Karl Lagerfield, this is the perfect yoga cover-up
3 |Folded waistband stretch-jersey leggings
4 |This yoga mat by Liforme is eco-friendly, and has a felt layer for extra cushioning. The design is brand’s proprietary ‘AlignForMe’ system meant to be a navigational tool to help correct your alignment for yoga poses – I can see this making its way onto many yogi’s holiday wish lists!!
5 | These are not from Net-A-Sporter, they are from adidas and very much on sale right now. The perfect flat to get you to and from the gym.
If you have a chance to make it out to the site, I would love to know what you think.
