my pass at navigating Nordstrom’s anniversary sale

Happy, happy Friday!

I hope you’ve had a good week and that you have lots to look forward to as you head into your weekend.  Last Friday Nordstrom launched their annual anniversary sale, which is the largest sale of the year for luxury department stores. They have an assortment of pre-fall items marked down and the sale runs through August 3rd after which these items will return to their original price.

While my head is not quite into shopping for Fall right now, I have been purging my closets and bureau drawers over the past week and think this would be a perfect time to take advantage of the sale to upgrade some pre-fall staples at a lower price. Truth be told, I am not generally a Nordstrom shopper, not because I don’t like them, but more because they do not have a location near my home and there are several other fabulous department stores very close to me. Once I learned of this sale, I was intrigued, so I really took the time to comb through it, and acquaint myself with their selection.  I found that it is really strong for some good quality wardrobe staples.  If you can get your head around pre-fall, it’s worth your time to score a few pieces now at a discount that will take you through the next few seasons.  For today I put together what I found to be some great scores from the shopping event.  Some of the pieces I selected simply because they are a really great item & value that I wasn’t looking for but am happy to have found, and others I seeked out knowing that they are on my fall list such as a new coat, a pair of booties and a desperate need to update my workout wardrobe.

Below are my picks from this year’s anniversary sale.  I’ve included prices with the links and rounded all of them {sale and original} to the nearest dollar.
