Mint + Gold Chic

I have been obsessed with the color combination of mint and gold lately.  I find mint green to be elegant, stylish and refreshing all at the same time and it is a color that translates well from fashion to home to fête.

As a result of my inspiration from this color pallette I’ve put a board together of elements that I would use to create a beautiful table setting with layers for depth and a look that would make for a stunning table {or set of tables} and say nothing but elegant glamour to your guests.

Minty Chic

From left to right by row:

1. Champagne Saucers I really like the height on these.  I think they can go with a variety of table styles and settings and add an element of modern elegance.
2. This china by Poc a Poc is formal yet, modern.  I like the variety in colors {or shall I say the ombre effect}.
3. This tumbler by Baccarat was available around the holidays by order, while it’s not coming up on their website now, I would suggest calling them if you are interested.  I’ve provided the link to the highball version instead.  I love this tumbler and could see myself integrating it into all sorts of table setting themes throughout the year as well as during the holidays.
4. Love this Gold Flatware from Barney’s
5. Use this mini bowl for olives, olive oil, cheese, or a small side dish.
6. With this setting and layering in the sea urchin {see #8}, I wouldn’t go crazy with flowers but I would layer in this Gold Leaf Smooth Vase by Aerin Lauder with simple white flowers such as ranunculus.
7. This chair is fabulous.  It was originally by Anthropologie currently not available, but I had to show it.  What a great dining room piece. Do you think they would bring it back if we all called and requested they did?
8. I would also incorporate this Sea Urchin down the center of the table.  The modern shape with a bit of sparkle would really dress the table up and pull the whole look together.  I also think with the varying height of the vase and the urchin it would create a nice variety visually in the center of the table {whether round or rectangular}.

Votives:  I would add some simple clear votives down the middle of the table as well; because a dinner party without candlelight is like a day without sunshine!!

Inspiration images across the top:  Mulberry SS13 Fashion Ad, Mint + Gold cake, vintage mint + gold chair {that mint velvet fabric is a feast for the eyes!!}.

Have a great Tuesday!!
