inspiration: holiday blues

Last night I spent spent some time at my parent’s house where we will celebrate Christmas.  Of course the topic of the holiday table and menu came up and we discussed the overall theme and plan.  I am a big fan of using non-traditional colors for the holidays and will often influence clients looking for holiday styling to think outside the box and take a break from red and green.

I am swooning over these blue tablescapes by Carolyne Roehm who never ceases to inspire when it comes to her tablescapes and flower arrangements.  I find them to be incredibly refreshing for the holiday season. For more of her stunning holiday tablescapes, you can visit her blog here.

The way this present is wrapped is holiday perfection!

For integrating holiday into your kitchen,  this overhang is a lovely way to bring in some holiday glamour in a festive yet non-traditional way as well.

What about you, what are your color palette plans for your holiday tablescape?
