glamorous black lace

Last night I missed the Golden Globes.  I had planned a tapas style dinner party in an effort to gather some city friends together and realized after the invitation had been extended that the party was going to fall on the night of the Golden Globes.  We decided that if we turned them on it would have taken away from our time together so we chose to live in the moment.

While I missed the red carpet looks, I took some time this morning to review some on-line sites to get a glimpse of the fashion highlights as I {and many of us do} get a great deal of inspiration from the looks.  I must say there were several stunning looks last night.  Out of what I’ve seen I would say my favorite look of the night was Cate Blanchett’s Armani Prive lace dress. The lace is gorgeous but the fit and cut of it paired with those stunning Chopard earrings make this look what I would call elegance perfected!

Runner up for me would be Leslie Mann in Dolce Gabanna also with a black lace and a peplum strapless top.  I love her black and gold accessories as well.  Simple but enough to pull the whole look together and give it some depth.

The inspiration from last night’s favorite looks have reminded me of how beautiful black lace can be in fashion and how it can be an effortlessly glamorous detail in your wardrobe.

How about you, what was your favorite look from last night?
