fashion to fete

Happy grey Thursday!

Before I delve into today’s post, I want to say congratulations to Celine Del Genes on winning two tickets to Luke Aaron’s fashion show during Boston Fashion week!  Thank you for your vote and we look forward to hosting you and your guest at the event.

As for today…I’ve been inspired by the parallels between some gorgeous fashion and table settings. I often have conversations with my friends in design roles about how the world of fashion and design mesh so well.  At the end of the day you are creating a look whether it be for an article of clothing, an event or an interior.   In many cases a piece of clothing or a favorite coat will influence a table setting, event or room color palette.

If you are looking for an idea for your wedding, or next dinner party tablescape, I would suggest looking to some of your favorite fashion photos or wardrobe pieces for inspiration.

While I am not at all rushing into to Fall, I am very much into the grey shades at the bottom for this upcoming Fall.  Clean, tone on tone modern and equally elegant, this color will definitely be making it’s way into my wardrobe and my dinner party tablescapes over the next few months.

wishing you an absolutely lovely evening,
