the new blue and white II: entertaining

As a follow-up to yesterday’s post, I couldn’t be inspired solely by fashion and wanted to show a modern approach to blue & white tables for entertaining/weddings.

The plates in the image above are from the newly launched Oscar de la Renta home line which I posted about here.  These exact plates can be found here. {image}

Below are some pieces I pulled together to create a modern blue and white event setting.

entertaining: the new blue and white

First Row:  Wine Glass / Tumbler / Rug* see note below
Second Row: Plate & Plate by Hermès
Third Row: Jonathan Adler Lacquer Hexagon TrayOscar De La Renta Dip-Dye Fish Water Jug
Fourth Row: White Medallion Napkins  {set of 4} / White glass tea light holder

*A note about the rug above {as I love a great story and a quality find}, it is created by Eastern Knots, a company founded by 2 brothers who are first generation tibetan and today based in NYC with extensive knowledge and experience in Tibetan rugs. They were born and raised in Nepal where their father owned a tibetan carpet business.  They create area rugs made from the finest Himalayan wool which is highly durable, and undergo a process that is centuries old and passed on from generations. Each of their rugs are unique,  hand made and created to their client’s exact specifications. They sell to the public and can be contacted via the these coordinates as the rugs are made to order {for size}.  They also commission custom pieces on any of their designs.

Wishing you a great day!
