Eat. Pray. Love | A Valentine’s Day Luncheon

It is probably just the event planner/entertainer in me but every time a holiday, awards show, new art exhibit opening or another reason to bring people together comes along, I feel the need to entertain or host friends and family.  There is something incredibly gratifying about inviting people into my home setting the scene and enjoying a wonderfully themed menu and cocktails with the people in your life.  I am passionate about it and hope to only do more of it, and on a larger scale in the years to come.

This morning I came across this lovely Eat. Pray. Love lunch themed party via Amy Atlas’ blog for Valentine’s day! How fun to host a lovely ladies lunch with your closest ladies?  This event was designed by ham & pea {a design & paperie studio out of Melbourne, Australia} and little sootie {a boutique party ware store and styling company also based out of Melbourne}.  They called the party Eat. Pray. Love and you can see the rustic table setting created an ambience of being in a small town in Tuscany.  They had a selection of cheeses alongside sweet treats including cake pops, macaroons and cupcakes.  I love what they’ve done and thought it was absolutely worth sharing.

I love the mini baguettes at each place setting garnished with a flower and each person’s name.  Also do you see the mini tic-tac-toe cards with pencils at each place ? {j’adore}

I have recently been discovering some really wonderful Italian cheeses at Formaggio Kitchen in my neighborhood,  so I can see how creating a plate of fabulous Italian artisan cheeses would be no problem whatsoever!!

I would welcome everyone with a campari & prosecco cocktail at a party like this as well to further the Italian theme.  I worked with a couple this fall and we created their wedding with a Tuscan theme; as part of that each guest was welcomed with a campari {the bride’s favorite} & prosecco cocktail, it was a lovely aperitif for guests to start the evening with.
