Book Love: Palm Beach Entertaining

Hello!

Being in the events and PR world as well as being genuinely passionate about entertaining friends and loved ones with great food and wine I love to stay up on the newest entertaining and cookbooks and always find inspiration in them.

I recently picked up a copy of Annie Falk’s Palm Beach Entertaining: Creating Occasions to Remember and can’t say enough about it.

Palm beach is known for sophisticated glamour but with a laid back vibe which is eminent throughout the content of this book. It is laid out by chapters, each chapter features one Palm Beach Party hosts signature event with with tablescapes, menus, favorite food and cocktail recipes, entertaining tips and vibrant and colorful photography that will inspire you to host your next dinner party!

What’s also pretty fabulous about this book and something that makes it a lovely gift giving option is that the proceeds of the book will assist Children’s Home Society of Florida which works towards providing disadvantaged children and families with the tools they need to succeed {a gift that gives back}. You can read more about the organization here.

And now for some stunning photos {eye candy} from the book which I was able to find on Pintrest and via Luxe Report blog:

This is the visual I automatically think of when I think of Palm Beach. Beautiful and chill with an element of glamour.

The vibrant color palettes are stunning, love this china, makes for beautiful place settings.

The addition of the green glasses, pull this look together beautifully.

This view!! Can you say breathtaking??

This party in the book is called An offering of love and consists of an all raw vegan menu with delicious and colorful dishes. Would be a great dinner or lunch to host for post new year’s to help you and your loved ones start the year off on the right foot!

This last photo is of White Wine Sangria featured on page 80 of the book as part of a dinner party menu. Served as a pre-dinner cocktail this Sangria is made with Spanish wine and green fruit, I can’t post a photo like this and not share the delicious recipe with you, so here it is:

1 Bottle Spanish or Argentine wine
1/4 cup sugar
Juice of 1/2 lime
1 lime thinly sliced
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 lemon thinly sliced
1 Granny Smith apple, thinly sliced
1 1/4 cup seedless green grapes, sliced in half
1 cup apple juice
1/2 bunch mint leaves, finely torn
Pince of salt
12 ounces plain seltzer water
Ice

In a large pitcher combine the wine and sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves. Add remaining ingredients except the seltzer water. Mix well and let the sangria sit from 1 1/2 hours to 4 hours in the refrigerator. Before serving, stir, and then add seltzer water and ice cubes.

I hope you enjoyed these photos and you’ll have to let me know if you try the sangria and what you thought of it!!

Cheers,
~Emmanuelle
