Happy Monday!

Today’s post is a quick dose of inspiration from Hermès’ recent grand-reopening celebration for their newly designed store in Beverly Hills Los Angeles featured in Wallpaper* Magazine.  As part of the brand’s celebration of their new façade, they commissioned scarf designer Benoit Pierre Emery to design a scarf reflective of something local and city specific – he decided on a speckled floor of a swimming pool, surrounded by palm trees and moving water.

When the team at Hermès recently hosted a gala to celebrate the opening of the store, they created a live installation depticting the design by Benoit Pierre Emery with   dancers dressed in swimwear and dancing on a mosaic floor underneath a a watery, hologrammed ceiling.


Brilliantly done!  I would expect nothing less than the best from the team at Hermès,  and of course it would make sense for them to create a live installation inspired by a limited edition scarf design.  Very well played from both an event and product/brand PR perspective.
