lavender bubbly | an easter cocktail

Happy Friday!!

As you know I am hosting an Easter brunch this Sunday which I am very excited about.  The menu has been set, the flowers will be delivered tomorrow morning and tomorrow will be spent prepping and setting.  The hero of my table setting will be these vintage glasses I found on Etsy recently and love.  They tie into my color palette and I think just scream for a lovely champagne cocktail.

In celebration of new blooms and spring’s arrival I thought infusing a cocktail with lavender and including bubbly would be a welcome combination this time of year.  I came across a recipe incorporating Scrappy’s lavender bitters {something I’ve never used in a cocktail before!} which smell like the purest essential lavender oil you’ve ever smelled.

In addition to bitters, the recipe calls for agave {which you need because the bitters, well, make it bitter}, St. Germain and champagne.

Here is the breakdown per glass:

3 drops of lavender bitters
3 drops agave,
1/2 tsp St. Germain
swirl and pour champagne
Garnish with a sprig of lavender {which is readily available in the fresh herb section of the grocery stores this time of year}.

Cheers and happy weekend to you!!
