a skin cleansing juice

In a perfect world, I would have a green juice everyday.  My go to recipe consists of kale, cucumber, celery, broccoli, fennel, ginger and an apple or pear.  When I consume this juice regularly, I see a difference in my skin, eyes, energy levels and even a reduction in fine lines on my face.  During the winter months however, I find myself getting tired of the same recipe and when it’s cold out, I crave different combinations {just not that one}.  Last winter, I was very much into juicing this parsnip juice to help warm up, but this year I have come to love this unexpected combination of ingredients that make up a wonderful boost for your skin!

It includes radishes, which contain sulfur;  Sulfur is known to be excellent for collagen building properties in the skin. With the radishes and ginger combined it makes the drink a bit spicy but the grapes really balance it out,  plus you still get your greens in with a handful of kale.  Here is the recipe which I have adapted from my go to cookbook Raw Food Real World.

a skin enhancing juice

Pass the following through a juicer for 1 large juice:

1 cup chopped radishes
3 cups red grapes {if you can find grapes with the seeds, even better, use those for an extra dose of antioxidants}
1 inch piece of fresh ginger
1 large cucumber
a handful of fresh kale
