A Menu for the Stars

I’ve always wondered what type of menu was served at the Oscar’s and Golden Globes to the stars and thought it would be an incredible event to have the opportunity to design {menu being a large component of it}.  InStyle magazine posted the menu for tonight which was designed by chefs Suki Sugiura and Thomas Henzi from the Beverly Hills Hilton.

Here’s what they’ve got planned:

• Grilled artichoke with fennel tomato lemon mousse, and pear honey goat cheese on endive pear salad

• Smoked flat iron beef with grilled sweet pickled pepper and California orange oil
• Chilean sea bass with caramelized mint fennel, kabocha pumpkin, yellow cauliflower, baby bok choy and dill mashed potatoes

• Cappuccino mousse dome, orange sanguine, and chocolate salted caramel

I wish them all bon appetite!!

In terms of favors, each nominee and presenter will leave the event with a Tumi gift bag filled with products from Bvlgari, Godiva, L’Oreal and Donna Karen to name a few. What a great seeding opportunity for these brands!

It all looks good to me, and it appears as though plenty of Moet will be flowing as well, which always adds to the occasion.  I will be hosting a small dinner party myself and will be sure to share my recipes with you next week.  In the meantime, enjoy the awards!
