a glamorous | al fresco | bridal shower

One of the best parts of being an event planner is designing events and creating details around different clients’ and making the events incredibly personal to them.  Whether an individual, a couple or a brand, the personalization and details are the difference between an average event, and an amazing event.  Creating an experience that is a reflection of a person, brand or product is where the creativity and fun come in.

Event designer Brooke Keegan of Brooke Keegan Weddings & Events did just that by putting together a glamorous surprise backyard bridal shower for her friend Megan. She did this by creating an entire event filled with her friend Megan’s favorite things -from her favorite colors {pink and gold} to her favorite food {nachos!}.  This shower was featured on Wedding Chicks, and was held at a private residence in Newport Beach.

The bride-to-be’s favorite color palette is pink and gold, Veuve Cliquot Yellow Label is her favorite Champagne, and her favorite cake flavor is red velvet.  You can see how her favorite things were threaded through this beautiful event.

Not only did they serve Veuve to all guests.  There was a small bottle flute at each place for guests as favors.

Love this way of creating seat assignments – beautiful!! {notice the seating cards emulate the champagne labels}

In addition to the color palette, champagne and red velvet cake, Brooke created a nacho bar, with the bride’s favorite toppings.  You can see the images here.

And even once the daylight was gone, the beauty of this al fresco event remained with the light of the chandeliers and what appears to be a very happy group of friends!

Cheers to that!
