a garden wedding

New England summers are absolutely lovely and it’s no wonder that given the beautiful coast and weather {during the summer} that anyone can appreciate, New England is a popular wedding destination for so many couples.

Vogue Home Editor Mieke ten Have spent her summers growing up in Maine and recently hosted a beautiful garden party country wedding at her parents summer home. I am a big fan of weddings at private homes.  You really have a blank canvas and the freedom to create an incredibly personal and customized event.  It’s less turn key in my opinion which results in a more personalized event.

I love the table setting Mieke came up with including a table by Pierre Frey’s Braquenié, a mix of china, and vintage vessels for the flowers.  According to Vogue she wanted a wedding that made her guests feel as though she was entertaining them at her own home.

Just from the photos you get the feeling that she did an incredible job at that given the personal setting, décor and details she weaved throughout her special day.

Simply lovely!

Wishing you a day full of beauty,
