A few of my favorite things | September

Wow September 1st!!  I know I fell off the face of the blogosphere for the past two months – it has been for good reason. This summer was truly a changing of the tides for me in many aspects.  Now that I am settling into some new routines, I am back and promise to continue to share my inspirations with you.

One of the biggest changes this summer has been that I had the incredible honor of being asked to oversee Public Relations for Neiman Marcus Boston in July {pinch me}!  As you can imagine this exciting full time role has me on a new schedule, and now that I am feeling more adjusted, you can expect to hear from me on a regular basis. My plan is to post once a week – this will give me enough time to be successful in my new exciting capacity, while giving me the opportunity to continue to share my inspirations with you from an entertaining, fashion and lifestyle perspective.  I can’t thank you enough for staying with me through this exciting journey over the past 3 years, I am so grateful to each of you and look forward to what’s in-store – thank you.

And now back to the fact that it is September!  I am definitely holding onto these precious last days of Summer with all of my strength.  It has been such a beautiful summer, I hope you’ve been able to enjoy as many sunny days as possible. This month I am inspired by some pre-fall tones of caramel and off white, new recipes for entertaining, and the latest read in health and wellness.

A few of my favorite things | September 15

1 & 2 | I love the look on the right.  It is both elegant and iconic.  A simple solid minimal transition jacket and a statement necklace {significantly marked down} make this look versatile and nothing short of perfect.  Statement jewelry is very on trend this Fall and I love the idea of a solid gold necklace that can be worn with a multitude of wardrobe options.

3 | Goop is definitely one of my top recipe go-to’s.  Between their winter detox menus and savory bites I rely on this website heavily for my own at home cooking.  Mostly because the recipes they come up with and feature are healthy without compromising flavor.  This Crème of Roasted Cauliflower, salted Anchovy & Marinated Cavolo Nero Crostini is at the top of my list for an hors d’oeuvre at my next dinner party.  Sounds so savory!!

4 | It’s time for a sunglass update.  My current sunglasses are over 7 years old.  I am so proud to still have them and not have lost them, however I am loving these mahogany round glasses for Fall with their rich walnut tone.

5 | This leather bag dual purposes as a tote and fold over clutch.  I love its understated elegance and that it is handcrafted in Florence by Il Bisonte, a company that has been handcrafting leather bags since the 1970’s.

6 | The French Beauty solution is a book by Claudelíe co-founder Mathilde Thomas.  In this book she unveils French beauty rules, as well as some do-it-yourself beauty recipes.  As a French native and having a role in creating a healthy and safe skincare company originating from the vineyards of Bordeaux, France, she was inspired to write this book when she noticed a vast difference between beauty practices in the U.S. versus Europe.  You can read more about this book in an interesting interview with her here.

Wishing you an incredible September, filled with new beginnings and no shortage of late summer days and nights!
