a few of my favorite things | october

So October is here, can you believe it?  It’s nice to see the sun is still shining and summer is taking it’s time before it leaves us in New England.

As Fall approaches I am very much into golds and camel.  I am actually considering a table scape and  setting with predominantly gold detail and embellishments with rich fall colors for this upcoming Thanksgiving, and certainly am integrating more gold accessories into my wardrobe this Fall.  Maybe it’s the change in the air that causes me to gravitate towards the heavier warmth of the color gold verus silver.  As we kick-off this new Fall month, I wanted to share some of my favorite things of the moment with you.

1 | this menu presentation on gold trays and hanging is adorable.  this would be a nice way to display menus for a shower or luncheon event as guests enter.
2 | this bauble box by Kelley Wearstler is over the top but gorgeous!  Hand made in LA with rose quartz, this would add great glamour to any bureau.
3 | these bangles by Kenneth Jay Lane are so classic and the perfect basic to have in your fall wardrobe.
4 | I like the idea of a camel coat for the winter. Because I wear so much black I am thinking it’s time for a lighter colored coat.  This style by Derek Lam is both elegant and timeless.
5 | This weekend I plan to make an apple tart.  I love the look of this rose apple tart by quips and dip.  They do a great job of walking you through how to get the look of the rose.  Serving this in a small version as an individual dessert at a dinner party would be an absolute hit!
6 | About a year ago, I really spent time re-vamping the products I used on my hair.  Growing up with a mother who is an esthetician I was always very conscious of what I used on my skin, but I wanted to be as conscious with what I was using on my hair.  This shampoo + conditioner by Rahua is a favorite of mine.  100% natural, 100% vegan using  organic ingredients from the Amazon.  My hair is loving it and I have seen a significant difference since I’ve integrated it into my hair regime.

There you have it!
I hope you are able to enjoy this stunningly gorgeous day filled with some of your favorite things, and wish you a beautiful October.
